In all the public discourse I have seen and heard regarding the United States and the growing strength of fundamentalist Islam, one question remains in my mind.  How do the adherents to the Islamic faith reconcile the tenants of that faith with the tenants of the U.S. Constitution?  The U. S. Constitution mandates a freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom of dissent, freedom to peaceably assemble.  These are all things that are not granted in the tenants of Islam.  Islam demands that dissenting speech be stopped, no other worship be tolerated, and those who do not worship are not granted the same rights or liberties as the faithful.  It is in fact a two class society.  Additionally Islam does not grant the same rights to men and women.  It in fact makes women subservient to men in most areas.  The guarantee of equal rights regardless of gender, faith, race or color is a fundamental corner stone of the U. S. Constitution.  So my question is how can the Islamic faithful live true to their faith and beliefs and still practice a belief in the truth of the Constitution.  It is this disconnect that brings out the conflict in the West and in particularly America.   When the faithful of Islam say they only wish to live in peach in America what they mean is they wish to live in their peace under their law not the law of the United States because they cannot or have not found a way to reconcile the conflict.  This is what raises the doubts of Americans as to the truthfulness, sincerity and honesty of the Islamic leaders.  For many of us we see things like the New York Mosque as an insult and a monument to a faith that is diametrically opposed to our way of life.  Too many of us see the mosque as a group of people who are slowly working to disassemble America using our own laws and freedoms against us to force us to accept something the overwhelming majority of Americans do not want.  We see our leaders acquiescing to these legal manipulations, showing weakness, indecisiveness and willingness to pay off our enemies to keep peace.  Meanwhile back in their home countries these same leaders tell their people see what fools these Americans are.  The let us use their own laws against their own culture and government.  Soon we will over run them.  We will take their country away from them one neighborhood, one city, one county at a time.  If the believers in Islam can show us how they reconcile this disconnect and convince us of their truthfulness then there may be some remote chance of reconciliation. 

In a recent article in the National Review, Claire Berlinski brings home this excellent point in her article “Ban the Burqa”.  She demonstrates just how Islamic leaders seize control of a community through the mechanism of the burqa.  She demonstrates just how Islam and the Constitution are in fact polar opposites.  Coming from a family with three generations of women as ordained ministers from evangelical churches I see the growth of Islam as a force that will undo generations of gains for women. Yet I don’t hear the voices of the National Organization for Women, I don’t see the women of America standing up and saying no. We must say no, not until there is a formal reconciliation between the American Islamic congregations and the constitution and laws of this country.  We do not allow any religious group to exploit or abuse its members we as a nation take action.  But too many of these fanatics have turned their religion into a version of a religious gang or mafia that is working to bring this nation down and just like we fight against MS-13 or other violent gangs so to must we fight against this destruction of our free and great republic given to us by God.  These gangs desire to bring down the American government just as the drug lords have brought down the government of Mexico.

I look back at the sacrifices of previous generations and realize that all the freedoms I have were bought with the blood, money, time and tears of my parents, grandparents, and great grandparents going back many generations.   Am I the one that will let their sacrifices be for naught? Is it my generation that will let those who hate what I believe in dance in the streets when they bomb my cities. Will you ever belong in America? Not as long as your faith is in conflict with our constitution. We who love America see what you are doing in Europe and how you are conquering it by immigration and the imposition of your faith and your laws. We see you displacing the laws of the countries you live in with your laws and I say not here.

 Yet this Islam that imposes its self upon our land and government cannot, and, will not guarantee these rights, these freedoms, and these liberties.  In fact if this Islam is to be true to its teachings it cannot support these rights.  We fought for the right for every person regardless of age, race, religion or gender to be doctors, lawyers, politicians, teachers, ministers whatever they wish to strive for.  We fought for the right to travel day or night as adults without restriction anywhere in our land any time.  Yet this Islam would constrain women to their homes unless given permission in writing to travel, to set limits on their clothing or appearance, and constrain their occupations and education.  It denigrates men to the level of uncontrolled animals and justifies unspeakable brutality against women because they choose not to learn self control and self denial.   Yes there are those that will tell me that there are women doctors and lawyers and other professions but these are an anomaly in that they come from the sects of Islam that are not presently in control.  This is not the Islam of Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran or the Taliban.  And it is the Islam of tolerance or if you will the liberal Moslems.  And these are persecuted and treated as outcasts from their own countries that are presently controlled by the extremists.  Radical, fundamental, fascists, sects must be considered pariah to a civilized world.

As a licensed private pilot part of my aviation training was to fly with a rated instructor into known instrument conditions.  That means to intentionally and under radar control fly into clouds so that you cannot see any thing  outside the cockpit.  Instructors tell you that no matter who you are you can become disoriented once your frame of reference outside the cockpit is taken away.  Many student pilots say that it will never happen to them.  So to illustrate the point an instruction takes a student into these conditions.  the strange thing about disorientation is it may not happen right away, it may not happen at all, it may happen slowly and it can hit with
 the suddenness of a light switch being thrown.  what prevents this is teaching the student to rely on their instruments and keep their eyes on the gauges until they come out of the clouds.  each student is taught how each gauge works.  They understand the science and the physics of the gauges we learn that the gauges when properly cared for and calibrated keep us on the proper course and safe.  We do not rely on our own reason or feelings or senses to ensure our safety we rely on that outside point of reference.  While we are in instrument conditions we take instruction from air traffic controllers and our instruments.  We place all our faith in those instruments and if we don't we risk death.
 
Our lives are no different.  Our government is no different.  Our intellect is at best imperfect. Much like our senses it can become disoriented and pointed in the wrong direction.  We cannot live and we certainly cannot governwithout instruments, not the same kind of instruments we see in an aircraft but instruments that provide a true external reference point for how we live our lives.  The problem comes with which set of instruments do we navigate.  There is a battle going on regarding instruments.  Do we use religion and if so which one? Or do we just wing it on
our own senses, feelings, and intellect?  There are those who say I need no instruments, instruments are a crutch a devise to deny being tough and smart.  These tend to be the first people that become disoriented with self worship or with self loathing.  There are those who say just pick a belief system there are all equal and all will lead you to truth.  These become lost in the maze of claims and counter claims, philosophies and beliefs.Finally there are those who follow Christ.  Not as they are told to follow him but who seek him in their own heart and dig to know the real Jesus.  In government it is the same way each of us must dig must test must seek to find the path that the creator has for us.  We must use Christ's principals to guide us and in so doing we will establish a government that is true.  Christ's philosophy brings balance and direction. 

Hypocrisy and Health Care

There is a great hypocrisy to this health care debacle in congress that turns on another screw that the obvious ones.
Here we are being told that the federal bureaucrats will take over our health care telling our Dr's what we can be treated for and with what treatment.  We are told to stop eating this, exercise that, loose weight for the good of the county.  And who is telling us this, people like the dough-boy of Hollywood Michael Moore.  We are told that our insurance companies are corrupt, greedy and have no moral standard since they will not insure the unemployed or the illegal resident.  We are told that our premiums are too high and medical costs are too high.  
Yet our Doctors must suffer the rapacious attacks of frivolous law suits by lawyers and courts that pervert science and truth so their clients are not required to assume any responsibility for their actions or lack thereof.
Dr's and hospitals are required to provide nearly free health care to the poor and illegal residents with little or no compensation.  Meanwhile health care professionals are over worked, under trained, and required to carry insurance policies against liability.
Meanwhile, none of the people screaming from the rooftops to pass this health care reform will tackle the illegal resident coverage, liability coverage, or tort reform all things we have heard before.  But what haven't we heard?
What about control over the one substance that kills more Americans than any other, puts more Americans in the hospital, and kills more Americans that never use it.  Not tobacco, not cocaine, Alcohol.  The one substance that kills more Americans than any other, destroys more families and corrupts more morals than any other. Kills more in one year than all the Americans lost in Iraq and Afghanistan. The substance that made the Kennedy's rich. But the liberal won't mention drugs like alcohol as a problem.  Now I am not advocating a return to prohibition but if we are going to be true and honest then lets start moving against Alcohol like we have tobacco.

3.    Since there is no god to misuse his name, his name is nothing. But I many not misuse any other groups name with disrespect except those who believe in God.  In particular Christians may be verbally abused at will.
4.    There is no Sabbath but the solstice, fashion week, spring, and the new TV season, or your favorite sports championships.
5.    Honor your mother and father if you want or your mother and mother or your father and father or your home town since parents are incapable of raising a child for we all know that “ it takes a village.”
6.    You shall not murder unless it’s your unborn child then the Government will help you.
7.    You shall not commit adultery unless you are an actor or a member of the media in which case it is encouraged.
8.    You shall not steal unless you are an “oppressed” minority and you are just redistributing the wealth
9.    You shall not bear false witness unless it supports your agenda for the ends justify the means.
10.    You shall not covet your neighbors possessions unless your neighbor is judged to be too wealthy then the government will do it for you

In another entry on Redstate.com I spoke of poison pill and perfume pill legislation.  Briefly poison pill legislation is the placement of language in a bill you want killed to ensure that no one will vote for it.  Then you use the defeat of the bill against your opponent citing only the good that could have come from it.  Perfume pill legislation is where you insert some item that will buy your opponents votes to get the bill passed.  The Obama Health Care legislation will in the end carry both of these pills.  Some of the most onerous clauses will be struck to make it look like the Democrats are listening. But in the end if it passes what will exist is a framework for the socialization of all of Americas Health care.  Maybe not now or this year but bit by bit each horrid piece will be slipped in by this vile process.  Suppose you want your funding bill passed to pay for better military equipment fine then the Democrats will insert their end-of-life counseling clauses into the bill.  You either pass what they want or kill your military funding bill.  And so it goes year after year, federal abortions on demand, mandatory abortions of Downs children, euthanasia of the elderly, etc.  If you don't think this happens research the records.  In over 1000 pages of legislation rushed through without reading we are giving away the bank as part of the recovery legislation and no one read it.  Senators and Members of the House are not reading this either.  Even if they did few would be able to follow it.  Years ago the CIA secured funding for a new building by hiding the appropriations in a wide variety of bills.  No one knew it until the CIA moved in.
In years past I have been called on to read and analyze state legislation of far less complexity and I can tell you that unless you are completely familiar with all the legislation impacted by even a simple bill there is no way to determine how far the legislation can reach and the changes it can cause.  How many times have we heard that congress or state legislatures have had to rush new legislation through because of unintended consequences of an earlier law?
We do not need this legislation.  It is the wrong approach, and it will never be the correct approach.   

I recently read most of the book Freqonomics and found the results reached by the researchers to be most disturbing. In the book they attribute the drop in crime rates to the free access to abortion.  I find this frightening.  It leads the reader to believe that the only hope we have to control crime is to kill the children of the poor before they are born.  It is this philosophy that is behind the current health care reforms of congress.  I believe that this philosophy is coming from the White House Office of Science and Technology.  The man behind this is the White House Director of the Office of Science and Technology Dr. John Holden.  In a recent news article by James Pinkerton of Fox News it was revealed that Dr. Holden is an advocate of Stalinist eugenicists.  In past publications he has advocated totalitarian methods of population control such as government controlled sterilization.  He believes that health care must be rationed and is supported in these beliefs by such people as Paul and Anne Ehrlichs and Teresa (Heinz) Kerry.  This is what leads me to believe if Obama care is implemented even in the least amount there will be a major national push over the years to amend it to ensure that the government pays for abortions and then will implement the abortion of all (as they would call it) deficient and defective embryos.  How would they do this, quite easily, by denying coverage to Women wanting to give birth to their Down’s syndrome children.  The government will just say the only procedure we will pay for is an abortion.  If you want to have this child you will have to pay for it yourself and the child’s medical problems will not be covered.  Of course if you were to confront the current administration they would say none of this is true. But they are laying the groundwork to allow people like the Ehrlichs and John Holden to put these actions into place if not in the legislation then in the regulation that follows.  Remember what the Ehrlichs and John Holden wrote "(We need) compulsory birth regulation... (through) the addition of temporary sterilants to water supplies or staple food.  Doses of the antidote would be carefully rationed by the government to produce the desired family size"  
This is no less the same pantheistic beliefs of the pagans of old that worshiped idols like Baal sacrificing their children in the heated arms of the idol or like those that worshiped the trees after Asherah.  This man and this bill are straight out of the pit of hell and the government representatives that support it should be run out of office.  He has perverted science and is the perfect example of why scientists cannot be trusted.  Like any other profession it to can and frequently does run amok in the most self serving ways and is guided by the mistaken philosophies of pagan fools.  And if you wonder if he is a pantheistic pagan know that John Holden supported arguments for giving “natural objects” -- like trees -- standing to sue in a court of law, claiming that it would have a “most salubrious” effect on the environment. (From Wikipedia)   He has set up and Asherah pole in the capitol and would have all America pay obeisance to it.  This is from the man that helped bring us global warming.  Would you believe him?
